Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Who know what you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 to burn therein. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
