The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is the exalted Book (the Qur’an), in which there is no place for doubt; a guidance for the pious. 2 who believe in the unseen, establish the Salats and expend (in Our way) out of what We have bestowed on them; 3 Who believe in that which has been sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad) and what has been sent down before you (to Prophets Jesus and Moses) and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful. 5 As for the unbelievers, alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or hast not warned them, they do not believe. 6 Allah has sealed up their hearts and ears and a covering has fallen over their eyes, and they have incurred the severest punishment. 7
