We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Yet these say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 42
