The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 has created man, 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
