28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 'And exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife, nor a son (or offspring or children). 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 We had in fact thought that men and jinns would never speak a lie about God, 5 But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness; 6 'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment). 7 "'And [so it happened] that we reached out towards heaven: but we found it filled with mighty guards and flames, 8 We used to sit near by and try to listen to the heavens, but shooting flames now await those who try to do that. 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allah upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. 12 And that when we heard the guidance, we believed in it; so whoever believes in his Lord, he should neither fear loss nor being overtaken (by disgrace): 13 ‘And that some among us are Muslims and some are the unjust; and whoever has accepted Islam – it is they who have thought rightly.’ 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 "That We might try them by that (means). But if any turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to undergo a severe Penalty. 17 The places of worship belong to God; so call not, along with God, upon anyone. 18 and when Allah's servant stood up to call on Him, they well-nigh swarmed him. 19

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
