Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
