The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and their eyes shall be downcast with dread. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
