The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

All praise is due to God, the Lord of the Universe; 2 The Beneficent, the Merciful. 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). 5 Guide us to the Straight Path, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
