The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
