Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. 30 ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 31 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals 32 "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), 33 marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. 37 And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 but he turned his back, with his court, saying, 'A sorcerer, or a man possessed!' 39 We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. 40 And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind 41 which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. 42 And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. 44 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 45 And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. 46
