Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
