Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
