3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 All the people turned away from him 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
