Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 God forgives the sins and reforms the hearts of the righteously striving believers who have faith in what is revealed to Muhammad - which is the Truth from his Lord. 2 This because those who reject Allah follow vanities, while those who believe follow the Truth from their Lord: Thus does Allah set forth for men their lessons by similitudes. 3 Now when ye meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks until when ye have slain them greatly, then make fast the bonds; then, thereafter let them off either freely or by ransom, until the war layeth down the burthens thereof. That ye shall do. And had Allah willed, He would have vindicated Himself against them, but He ordained fighting in order that He may prove you one by the other. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He shall not send their works astray. 4 He will guide them [in the hereafter as well,] and will set their hearts at rest, 5 And will admit them into gardens with which he has acquainted them. 6 O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. 7 But those who reject (Allah),- for them is destruction, and (Allah) will render their deeds astray (from their mark). 8 It is because they are averse to what God has revealed that He has rendered their deeds futile. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 This is so for God is the friend of those who believe while the unbelievers have no friend. 11
