The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 And by Him Who created male and female; 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 And for him who hoarded wealth and remained carefree, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 No one will burn in it but the most wretched, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
