Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
