Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Almighty God's Truth.
