Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
