The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil). 2 Who believe in the unseen and establish the (daily) prayer; who spend out of what We have provided them. 3 And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. 4 those are upon guidance from their Lord, those are the ones who prosper. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and ears, and veiled their eyes. For them is great deprivation. 7
