The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
