Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
