We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 We spread the earth a carpet; what comfort We provide! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. 55 I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 And verily, they who are bent on doing evil shall have their share [of evil] like unto the share of their fellows [of old]: so let them not ask Me to hasten [their doom]! 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
