Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
