The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
