Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

We sent Noah to his people. He said, "O my people, worship God; you have no other god but He. I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful Day," 59 but the leading men of his people said, "Truly, we see that you are obviously lost in error!" 60 He said: "O my people! No wandering is there in my (mind): on the contrary I am a messenger from the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds! 61 I am conveying my Lord's messages to you and giving you sincere advice. I know things from God that you do not. 62 Does it seem strange to you that a reminder from your Lord should be sent to a man, from among you, to warn you so that you might receive mercy?" 63 They accused him of telling lies. So We saved him and his companions in an ark and drowned those who called Our revelations mere lies. They were, no doubt, a blind people. 64
