The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 who guard their privates, 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
