Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we glorify God". 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
