HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
