Seest thou one who turns back, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
