Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world, 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
