Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Abundance diverts you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
