Does it not guide the people who inherit the land from former people that We can punish them for their sins if We will? And seal up their hearts so that they would not be able to lend an ear to words of guidance? 100 Those cities We relate to thee tidings of; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, but they were not the ones to believe in that they had cried lies before; so God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 We did not find the covenant upheld by the majority of them, but We found most of them evildoers. 102 After them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. But they willfully rejected them. Consider the end of the evil-doers. 103 Moses said: O Pharaoh! Lo! I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 I must only speak what is true about God. I have brought you miracles from your Lord; therefore, let the children of Israel go free". 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 At this Moses threw down his staff, and lo, it became a live serpent. 107 And he drew forth his hand, and behold, it looked white to those who beheld it. 108
