Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3

And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Verily these! they say: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Judgement is your promised day of meeting, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
