Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Those who disbelieve and turn (men) from the way of Allah, He rendereth their actions vain. 1 God forgives the sins and reforms the hearts of the righteously striving believers who have faith in what is revealed to Muhammad - which is the Truth from his Lord. 2 That is because those who disbelieved followed falsehood whereas those who believed followed the Truth that came to them from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth to people parables showing their true state. 3 So, when you clash with the unbelievers, smite their necks until you overpower them, then hold them in bondage. Then either free them graciously or after taking a ransom, until war shall have come to end. If God had pleased He could have punished them (Himself), but He wills to test some of you through some others. He will not allow the deeds of those who are killed in the cause of God to go waste. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition. 5 and will admit them to the paradise which He has promised them. 6 Believers, if you aid Allah, He will come to your aid and will plant your feet firmly. 7 But as for the unbelievers, ill chance shall befall them! He will send their works astray. 8 That is so as they were averse to what has been revealed by God, and their actions will be nullified. 9 ۞ Have they, then, never journeyed about the earth and beheld what happened in the end to those [willful sinners] who lived before their time? God destroyed them utterly: and the like thereof awaits all who deny the truth. 10 This, because God is the Protector of all who have attained to faith, whereas they who deny the truth have no protector. 11
