Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Rather they were shocked that a Herald of Warning came to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers said, “This is something really strange.” 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know very well what the earth takes away from them: We hold a book which records all things. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
