The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
