Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble recorders, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
