Alshu'araa' 2 of 11
Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 Pharaoh said to the audience: "This Messenger of yours who has been sent to you is simply mad." 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: Produce it then, if thou art of the truthful! 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
