Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is nothing but a reminder unto all beings, 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
