Consultation (Al-Shooraa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 Ain Sin Qaf. 2 In this wise revealeth unto thee and unto those before thee, Allah the Mighty, the Wise. 3 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth, belongs to Him. He is all-high and supreme. 4 (When the revelation passes through) the heavens, they almost break apart. At that time the angels glorify their Lord with His praise and seek forgiveness for those who live on earth. God is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 5 Those who have taken protectors other than Him, are watched over by God. It is not for you to be their guardian. 6 We have revealed the Quran to you in the Arabic language so that you could warn the people of the Mother Town (Mecca) and those around it of the inevitable Day of Resurrection when some will go to Paradise and others to hell. 7 Had Allah willed, He could have made them one community, but Allah bringeth whom He will into His mercy. And the wrong-doers have no friend nor helper. 8 Have they taken patrons besides Him! But Allah! He is the Patron, He quickeneth the dead, and He is over everything Potent. 9
