And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand. 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And every human being will come forward with [his erstwhile] inner urges and [his] conscious mind, 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
