Al-Dhaareyaat 2 of 3
AND HAS the story of Abraham's honoured guests ever come within thy ken? 24 When they came to him, they said: “Peace”; he said: “Peace also be to you; (you seem to be) a group of strangers.” 25 Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf 26 And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" 27 (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. 28 So hearing his wife went forth shouting. She struck her face and exclaimed: “A barren old woman am I.” 29 They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people 32 To send down upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. 34 So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 As (there was) in Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" 39 Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. 40 And in the tribe of A’ad, when we sent a dry windstorm upon them. 41 It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. 42 And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” 43 Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were certainly a sinful people. 46

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
