The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
