Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And make him share my task: 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence. 54
