Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say before: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
