Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

HAVE YOU SEEN him who denies the Day of Judgement? 1 Who turns away the orphan, 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 Ah, woe unto worshippers 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 And refuse Al-Ma'un (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
