۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On couches facing one another; 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 What, do we then not die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
