(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
