Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains. 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
