Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 Others will be despondent, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And the leg is wound about the leg, 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
